Celebrate

Hey all,

I am running out of Birthday cards, and over at danipeuss.de they are having a challenge all things stripe, so I thought it was a good waIMG_3088y to combine my needs with a challenge for the chance to win πŸ˜‰

Also, I have some stamps that I haven’t used enough yet and dies that are brand new to me.

So I started out stamping the several of the roses and leaves of the Altenew – Vintage Roses and used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I really wanted to create a nice dimensional flower cluster. The sentiment stems from another Altenew – Label Love, and they really look like labels πŸ˜‰ I used my MISTI to stamp that particular celebrate label three to four times to get it real black and crisp. Afterward I fussy cut it out.

Next, I used the Graduated Stripes die form Neat & Tangled to die cut a stripy background, which I then attached onto a watercolor background.

Last, but not least, I took my time arranging my flowers and leaves, using liquid glue and dimensional adhesive to pop the roses up. The sentiment was also popped up for more dimension πŸ™‚

I hope you like it ! πŸ™‚

You hold my heart….

Hey all,

IMG_2868

Today’s card I made for my grandma. I wanted to include lots of hearts and flowers πŸ˜‰

so I decided to go with an image from BildmΓ₯larna, a Swedish company that unfortunately doesn’t exist anymore.
I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored it with my beloved Faber Castell Pitt Brush markers. In the original image she was holding a small heart. I fussy cut that out and used a heart from Magnolia – yet another Swedish stamp company. I raised her with dimensionals and tucked the heart under her to make it look as though she was holding this heart all along.

The sentiment was stamped on a tag and that too was tucked in behind the main image.

For the background I made my own patterned paper by stamping and embossing the same heart that she is holding onto some card stock and afterwards applying distress ink all over that piece.

Hey all,

Today, I decided to make a bunch of easter cards. Instead of making just one card of each design, I decided to make four. That way I still had some variety in my easter cards, but didn’t have to come up with 20 designs πŸ˜‰

These cards took a little longer to make, because the stamped images weren’t solid and thus, had to be colored in.
This time I used the Chirpy Chicks from Clearly Besotted Stamps.

They are just so cute! I love how they jump out of the shells! πŸ˜€

The cards are pretty straight forward: I stamped and colored the images with Faber-Castell PITT artist pens and used the Lawn Fawn stackables to cut out the front panel and the sky and grass. For the grass I used a die from Magnolia. I liked that the grass is much higher and that the chicks can play and hide in it πŸ™‚

Hey all,

Today, I decided to make a card with one of my favorite stamp sets from Create a Smile – Bad Day. Now I am not implying that it has been a bad day for me… at least not today. I have been enjoying the peace and quiet, now that everyone has gone home after a fun, though exhausting vacation with a full house of family πŸ˜‰

Create a Smile is a German company that is in search forΒ Β  Β  Β a guest designer for February and I decided to give it a shot!Β πŸ˜€
